Lauren Vernea is a LA based comedy writer and stand-up comedian. She is currently a sketch comedy writer on the UCB Maude House Team "Toast." As a standup comedian, she’s performed across the country at venues like The Comedy Store and The Hollywood Improv. She was a staff writer for the largest sketch comedy channel on Youtube, Smosh (25 million subscribers). She is the founder, head writer, a performer, and director in the all Black female sketch group, “The Black Pantherettes” (UCB, The Second City, NY Sketchfest, The People's Improv Theater, The LA Diversity in Comedy Festival). She's a graduate of the Conservatory Program at The Second City.
