Jake Shane's Bio

Jake Shane is a comedian and digital superstar who, at just 23 years old, has amassed more than 3 million followers across social platforms and launched multiple successful merchandise lines. Since his meteoric rise, Shane has been included in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Social Media class of 2024, Variety’s 2023 Young Hollywood Impact Report, Variety’s 2023 Comedy Impact Report, TikTok’s 2023 Pride Visionary Voices, received a nomination for Creator of the Year at the 2023 Streamy Awards, and has been heralded by GQ as “the funniest [and most anxious] guy on TikTok” and “TikTok’s favorite comedian” by Rolling Stone.

Originally starting his social media accounts as a fun way to share his love of his favorite food, octopus, Shane built a connection with his audience through his improv-style reenactment videos and boomed from 100,000 to 1 million TikTok followers in just ten days. Dubbed “the guy everyone on the Internet wants to be best friends with” by Elite Daily, Shane has become the leading voice in a new generation of entertainers, resulting in collaborations with Sofia Richie, Alix Earle, Olivia Rodrigo, and the Jonas Brothers, among others.

Just this month, Shane launched his video podcast, “Therapuss with Jake Shane,” which hit #3 on Spotify’s Top Comedy podcasts and #8 on Spotify’s Overall podcast chart after his premiere episode. Of three episodes released so far, including pop star Tate McRae’s first podcast interview, the show has garnered more than 250,000 views on YouTube alone.

Parlaying his digital success into consumer products, Shane has released numerous limited-edition merchandise lines to incredible success, all selling out within days of their launch. Shane’s ascension has also led to brand partnerships with Coca-Cola, Spotify, HBO, Target, NFL and more.

Beyond his comedic and entrepreneurial endeavors, Shane is dedicated to speaking candidly about his OCD and anxiety diagnoses in an effort to make these subjects more relatable for young people.
