Eddie Ifft's Bio
As a child, Eddie Ifft dreamed of becoming a Navy SEAL but instead built a 28-year career as a stand-up comedian, podcaster, host, and actor, earning praise and selling out shows worldwide. He first gained international attention at Montreal’s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, leading to an SNL audition and a performance at the Mark Twain Awards in Washington DC.
Well known to audiences from his TV comedy specials including, Live From Australia, filmed in front of a sold-out crowd at the Sydney Opera House. Recent TV specials include, Sweet Home Malibama(2020) and Man Child (2023) have accrued millions of views and reached the coveted ‘top spot’ on Amazon Prime. In addition to his stand-up career, Eddie co-hosted Talkin’ Sh*t, a podcast that consistently broke into the Top 10 in the comedy podcast charts.
Eddie has appeared at some of the world’s most renowned comedy festivals: Netflix is a Joke, Montreal Just for Laughs, Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Cape Town International Comedy Festival, and the Dubai Comedy Festival, solidifying his global appeal and recognition.
U.S. television audiences will recognize Eddie from appearances on Showtime’s The Green Room with Paul Provenza, Tommy Chong 420 Show, Chelsea Lately, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and his half-hour special on Comedy Central. Happily married for ten years, Eddie has two children and makes his home in the mountains above Malibu where he pursues his passions of surfing, mountain biking and skiing. And yes, he still dreams of becoming a Navy SEAL.
