Kyle Tomlin's Bio
Kyle Tomlin is an actor, writer, comedian, and improviser. He started comedy at the ripe age of 15 in his hometown of Los Angeles, going on to open for comedians like Amir K, Grant Cotter, and Anthony Jeselnik in his teenage years. He went on to study in Chicago pursuing a BFA in Film and TV at DePaul University, including a concentration in Comedy Filmmaking through a hybrid program involving the Harold Ramis Film School and The Second City. Kyle is also a graduate of the prestigious Conservatory Program at the Second City, and has studied comedy and improv at The Second City's locations in Chicago and Hollywood, The Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), and The Annoyance Theatre.
He has performed at dozens of venues around the country, opening for comedians such as Bob Odenkirk and Patton Oswalt. He currently produces and hosts a monthly standup show called Plant Mob at the Yard Theater, featuring headliners like Maria Bamford, Doug Benson, Todd Glass, and more. Now based back in LA, Kyle continues to perform on shows around the city, as well as wear overalls and drink too much cold brew. He loves driving his 2011 Toyota Prius while listening to CD’s of Noam Chomsky, and is definitely not becoming elderly at the age of 25.
