Julien Tshikuna aka the Bantuboy, meaning “people'' rooted in central Africa, is the fast-rising Afro-European talent from Brussels. In 2012, without being able to speak a word of English he took a leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream. Within a few short years he had learned English and shared his life’s hilarious trials and tribulations in the USA. He went on to share the stage with established comedians like Tony Rock, Justin Hires, Jay Pharoah, and most recently opened for the legendary Jay Leno. Julien was quickly becoming a comedian that would leave his audience in awe and tears with his witty, quirky, and diverse sets. He soon became a fan favorite at Flappers Comedy club performing his outrageously funny sets. His talents garnered him a spot in the semi-finals of LA Funniest Comics, and he also graced the stage for the Funniest Person in the World Contest at the Legendary Laugh Factory. He cemented his reputation with a performance at the popular “Chocolate Sundae” Comedy show in LA. His performance caught the eye of producers who invited him to Perform in New York as well as film and make his debut on Amazon Prime Video. Julien is the first Belgian-Congolese comedian to perform in English and be produced by the Streaming Giant. Additionally, being represented by Saint Agency led Julien to book national commercials with renowned companies such as UberEats and Gatorade. Julien is also the co-founder of the Bantuboyz network, a podcast with comedy content that highlights his Congolese heritage.
