In honor of the funny, lovely and sweet Cassie, who we all knew and will miss dearly, we will gather a collection of the top comedic entertainers in the area to therapeutically entertain her family and friends within entertainment. Funny Friends within comedy, healing with comedy while also donating all of the proceeds to a special local K9 charity in her name.
A VERY SPECIAL EVENING -
We suffer a lot of loss in this industry. Every year, in comedy, at least one shocking death takes away too soon a legendary, talented and worldly known great person. Some years we get a few taken too soon from us. Most fans and people only know and see their talent and work, but every time there are many in comedy who know them as their friend. Thankfully, at events like this for Cassie on Monday evening, our comedy universe comes together and for that moment in time more closely supports each other as our comedy community. It is beautiful to see everyone come back on earth to remember and show their love for someone dear who is no longer here.
Many close friends, colleagues and associates in the LA area comedy and production scene were not able to attend her funeral and memorial service down in OC. This will bring the top comics who knew and loved Cassie together for a therapeutic, touching and funny comedy show. This is for the rest of us who loved Cassie and will laugh celebrating in her memory to say our goodbye.
CHARITY -
All of the proceeds from donations online here, sent directly, or made in cash at the door will go to one of the best local dog rescues. Those who knew Cassie will know her absolutely everlasting love for her beautiful and badass pups.
Donations will be accepted online here and include a free ticket to the production in the Main Room from 7pm - 9pm. We will also be accepting donations by Zelle, Cash App, and at the door with cash. Any amount of $1 or more is truly appreciated and will help those doing great work. After helping with this memorial event, we will donate all proceeds in Cassie's name.
FOOD, DRINKS AND MUSIC -
Cassie would have wanted all of those she knew and loved in life and comedy to come together celebrating this way in her honor. This may be one of the best comedy industry networking event vibes and that is exactly the way she would have wanted us all to come together to remember her.
In that sentiment, The Hollywood Improv has generously offered to provide comedy industry pricing for all food and drinks at the bar and restaurant, valid before and after the Main Room show for all registered guests attending this event for Cassie.
*Regular food / beverage prices will apply during the show in the Main Room.
Once the Main Room productions are over, we will be using the Hollywood Improv bar and restaurant area to continue the evening until about midnight.
