Baron Vaughn's Bio

Baron Vaughn is an actor, writer, director, and standup comedian. As an actor, he was a series regular on Netflix’s Grace & Frankie in the role of “Bud” and is the voice of "Tom Servo" in Netflix’s Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return. He’s also been a recurring guest star on Comedy Central’s Corporate, Tru TV’s Those Who Can’t, Comedy Bang Bang, and appeared in the films Cloverfield and Black Dynamite. He was the co-creator and co-host of Comedy Central’s The New Negroes and Funny or Die’s Call & Response. He also starred in the Fusion network documentary Fatherless. Baron’s directorial debut, the short film So Muck to Do, featuring Toni Trucks, can be seen in the horror anthology Scare Package on Shudder.



As a comedian, Baron’s performed stand-up on HBO’s 2 Dope Queens, TBS’s Conan (twice), Showtime's SXSW Comedy, as well as The Meltdown and The Half Hour both on Comedy Central. He’s performed at many festivals around North America including the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival (Aspen), Just for Laughs Comedy Festival (Montreal), South Beach Comedy Festival (Miami), Moontower Comedy Festival (Austin), SXSW Festival (Austin), San Francisco Sketchfest, Bridgetown Comedy Festival (Portland), High Plains Comedy Festival (Denver), Vancouver Comedy Festival, Accidental Comedy Festival (Cleveland), Chicago Comedy Exposition, JashFesht (Palm Springs), Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival (TN), and Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival (Seattle).



Baron has two comedy albums, Raised by Cable and Blaxistential Crisis, both available on AST Records. He holds a BFA from Boston University, and currently resides in Atlanta.
