L.A.’s very own Awon has been making audiences laugh all up and down the West Coast. After completing his biggest long form joke of trying to make it in the NBA, he brings the perspective of a first generation Iranian-American trying to find his place in Western Culture. He leaves crowds questioning “What kind of perspective is this? And why haven’t I thought of it?” A view that’s been shaped through American television, his narrative has led him to perform at The Laugh Factory, The Improv, The Comedy Store, and even put him on screen in ShowTimes, “Shameless.”
