Edgar Rivera is a Puerto Rican–born, Bronx-raised comedian with the kind of energy your loudest tío brings to Thanksgiving. Fluent in both English and Spanish (and a little bit of “Spanglish when the joke needs it”), Edgar keeps audiences laughing with hilarious stories, quick comebacks, and crowd work so good people start checking if he read their group chat.
Growing up Puerto Rican in the Bronx gave Edgar plenty of material—family drama, neighborhood chaos, and the kind of cultural moments every Latino recognizes immediately. His comedy paints vivid, ridiculous pictures that make audiences think, “Yo… that happened in my house too.”
But what really makes Edgar dangerous on stage is his crowd work. Nobody is safe. Edgar can spot the couple on their first date, the guy who got dragged there by his girlfriend, and the one friend who’s already three drinks ahead—and turn them all into part of the show.
