Coach Langley's Bio

Coach Langley was born in Jamaica and raised in the Bronx. He is a product of the 70’s and survivor of the 80’s. Langley began his collegiate studies at Hudson Valley Community College. He is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated, nasty nu kappa chapter from C.W. Post, Long Island University. Over his tenured teaching career, he taught at his alma maters Junior High School 117 and DeWitt Clinton High School. Langley developed his strong passion for people and sports at an early age. He developed self-discipline as a high school football player and a college track and field athlete. He parlayed that discipline into a teaching and coaching career. His "Tell it Like It Is" approach enables Coach Langley to mentor young minds, adults and colleagues alike. His daily goal was to positively contribute to someone’s life. Langley continuously adds great value to the lives of those around him. His warm personality, infectious smile, along with his infinite wisdom about life will be greatly missed. He has been married for 20 years to his beautiful wife, Gina, by the way, a school administrator. They have a lovely and talented daughter, Kaya. Langley’s three main influences on giving back. His high school coach, who always said to never forget DWC. Phi Beta Sigma Motto: Culture for service and service for humanity. Million Man March - Black men converged on the mall of Washington, DC. There was a pledge to illustrate a commitment to change our minority communities for the better. After 30 years of service, his greatest accomplishments are the relationships he’s made and the many lives he’s influenced.
