Dalia Malek's Bio

Dalia Malek is an Egyptian-American comedian who started comedy in London, UK and tours internationally, performing at major clubs, theaters, and festivals all over the world. Her stand-up was broadcast on BBC, and she has been a finalist and winner of numerous national competitions in the UK. She has appeared in Live Nation's Latitude Festival in England, Live Nation's Electric Picnic in Ireland, and recurring performances in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She also appeared in Egypt's first ever Cairo Comedy Festival.

Back home in the US, she has performed in the Second City Diversity in Comedy Festival, All Jane Comedy Festival, Sacramento FemmeFest, Big Pine Comedy Festival, and is a recurring performer in SF Sketchfest. She is the creator, producer, and resident host of Interruption Show, a comedy festival favorite and live podcast which travels internationally, has been featured in Chortle in its guide to today’s best comedy on demand, and received a glowing review from Funny Women.

Her media-acclaimed Twitter feed is regularly featured in articles, lists, and roundups on Buzzfeed, Huffington Post, Paste Magazine, WhoHaha, Vox, Someecards, eBaum’s World, and Funny or Die. Her TV script was a semi-finalist in the UK's Screen and Story Film Festival, and she has been featured in Vulture, New York Magazine, Washington Post, and Teen Vogue.

She will bring her debut solo hour “Another Castle” to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2022, and she can been seen in Ireland's Electric Picnic 2022 and SF Sketchfest 2023.
