Born and raised in Logansport, Indiana, Lauren is the 4th of 6 children. She has 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Lauren was a very charismatic and creative child, constantly entertaining her family and friends with her performances. By the age of seven, Lauren was doing impersonations and impressions of celebrities. A couple noteworthy ones were of Ace Ventura (Jim Carrey) and Mary Katherine Gallagher (Molly Shannon). For her tenth birthday, Lauren asked for the video camera and that's when her life in front of the camera started. Her interest in being both behind and in front of the camera carried over into High School.
In high school, Lauren often had her friends co-star with her in short films, music videos and skits she created and later edited in her Television Production class. This interest continued on stage, where Lauren worked on many of the school's theatrical productions at times as an actor, a follow spot, a stage manager and even a director on Godspell, Wizard of Oz, South Pacific and many others. As a Junior, she enjoyed playing the goofy, over-the-top matchmaker, Yente, in Fiddler on the Roof and, as a Senior, Lauren wrote and directed her own sketch comedy show. Lauren was also involved in soccer, basketball, swimming, tennis, the Forensic Team, Academic Bowl, Thespians and Drama Club, Show Choir, Spanish Club and Latin Club at her high school.
Lauren was discovered at the age of 17 when she competed in the AMTC (Actors, Models, Talent Convention) in Orlando, FL, and received the award for "Best Actor". This is where she landed her first agent.
This experience confirmed Lauren's long-held desire to pursue a career in entertainment. Upon graduating from Logansport High School, Lauren made the move to New York City, NY, to attend the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts School of Film and Television. After completing that program, she enrolled as a student at the New York Film Academy and majored in Acting For Film.
After finishing her New York based programs, Lauren relocated to Los Angeles, CA, in order to continue her pursuit of acting for television and film. Since then, she has landed roles in pilots in which she played a Tomb Raider-style action heroine and another in which she played a cop.
Lauren also played the secretary in a film alongside several members of the famed, The Groundlings Improv Company, called "The Last Day", where a man wins the lottery and decides to quit his job 'in style'.
Recently, She booked a supporting role in the feature "I Was Never Here" as Ann, and Sabrina in "My Buddy and Me". She has also worked as a puppeteer on Jim Henson's "Puppet High".
Her largest fame yet is from an action film she starred in called, "Instincta", where she plays a rookie detective out to prove herself and her instincts.
She is currently working on "First Jobs", which is a comedy web series where she tries many jobs but fails at all of them.
