Moon first entered the global spotlight in 1982 with her satirical hit song ‘Valley Girl’, a collaboration with her father, the late American composer Frank Zappa. Soon after, she embarked on a decade-spanning acting career appearing in shows from Roseanne and Curb Your Enthusiasm to Private Practice and Grey’s Anatomy.
In 2001, Moon’s critically acclaimed, comedic debut novel America the Beautiful was published by Simon and Schuster and was named one of the “Best Twenty Books of the Year” by The Los Angeles Times. Her humorous writing has also appeared in New York Times Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Details as well as several anthologies including Blindsided By The Diaper, Afterbirth – Stories You Won’t Read In A Parenting Magazine, Don’t You Forget About Me – Contemporary Writers on the Films of John Hughes and more recently Dear Me, A Letter To My Sixteen Year Old Self.
Author, Actress, Mom and soon-to-be Yoga Instructor, Moon currently writes for film and television and plans on lessening your suffering at a yoga studio near you.
